Shijingshan District, locates in the west of Beijing, is only 14 km from Tiananmen Square. It is adjacent to Hainding District to the East and the North. Its neighbors also include Fengtai District in the South and Mentougou District in the West. The total area of the district is 84.38 sq. km. The permanent population is over564,000.
The district’s roads and highways formed an efficient and convenient traffic network. The 5th and 6th Ring Roads, Lianshi Road, Fushi Road and Shijingshan Road are the backbone of the network of two highways, two expressways and six main thoroughfares, more than 50 buses pass through the district. It is only 20 minutes by car to Zhongguancun, 30 minutes to Central Business District, and 40 minutes to Capital International Airport. The city’s main underground line, No. 1 metro line running through the district from east to west, connects to No 2, No 4, No 5 and all other urban metro lines, very convenient to get to any part of Beijing from Shijingshan.
